Ray Calderone started Northline out of a single truck in Hauppauge in 1998, after twelve years working for a national franchise where the route lists were built around selling add-ons rather than solving problems.
The company has grown to eleven trucks and nineteen employees, and the operating rule has not changed: inspect first, write down what you find, quote a fixed price, and send the same technician back. Most of our technicians have been here more than a decade.
We are licensed in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Rhode Island, and certified for both residential integrated pest management and commercial food-service accounts. Roughly a third of our work now comes from restaurant groups and property managers, which is where the record-keeping habits came from.
If a treatment does not hold, the return visits are on us. That has been the policy since the first year, and it is the reason we turn down jobs we do not think we can close out.
