Signs in the house

  • Heavy movement in the attic during daylight, unlike rodents.
  • A chewed or lifted opening at a soffit, fascia or roof junction.
  • Insulation flattened into a nest, and droppings around it.
  • Chattering or scratching from a ceiling in the early morning.
Size 23-30 cm body, with a tail nearly as long.
Active Year-round. Litters in late winter and again in mid-summer.
Nests in Attics, soffit voids, chimneys and wall cavities.
Risk Structural and fire. Chewed wiring and fouled insulation.
Treatment window Same week, under state permit.
