Signs in the house

  • Rice-grain droppings in cabinets, drawers and along wall bases.
  • Gnawed corners on food packaging, especially in a pantry.
  • Scratching in walls or ceilings after dark.
  • Shredded insulation, paper or fabric gathered into a void.
Size 7-10 cm body, plus a tail about as long again.
Active Year-round, but they move indoors from September.
Nests in Wall voids, insulation, appliance cavities and stored boxes.
Risk Health and fire. Contamination, and gnawed wiring.
Treatment window Same week. Exclusion work usually takes one visit.
